Kilt Jacket Size

(Measurements in inches)

In stock jackets require two measurements: chest and sleeve length. The chest measurement corresponds directly with your size and the sleeve length determines whether you need a short, regular or long jacket. If you are getting a jacket made to order, beyond chest and sleeve length, you should also include your height and waist measurements, especially if the jacket comes with a waistcoat.

Waistcoats made to order require the following measurements: chest, waist and full height. All our formal shirts are standardised according to their collar size.

Chest: Stand up straight and measure under the armpits around the chest. Make sure the tape

Sleeve length: Holding your arm straight and parallel to the side of your body, measure from the ball of shoulder (or seam of another jacket) to the wrist or longer if preferred.

Waist: Measure around your waist at the height of your belly button.

Collar: Measure around the middle of the neck; it is wise to add a ¼ of an inch or ½ an inch to your exact measurement to ensure that the collar will be comfortable. For example, if you measure exactly 15 or 15.25 inches, we would recommend that you go for a size 15.5.
